I've sewed for most of my life; I started in school by taking a sewing class. When I got married, I started making things for the home.
Raising children, I starting making the clothes. I even made my daughters wedding dress.
Quilting came into my life about 7 years ago when a local quilt shop was hiring to piece quilt tops. That's how the bug got started. When the shop closed, I needed to find something to do. I started out by having an open house around the holidays.
I did that for 2 years, and then opened the shop on a full time basis in 2003. It was important to me that everything is made by local artisans. Quilts and related items were the primary products.
The popular ones are log cabin, double Irish chain, 9 patch, scrappy, and Ohio star to name a few.
The sheep fit in by supplying the wool for spinning or I have the wool processed into batts for quilting
or felting.

Special orders are taken as well. I'm always looking for new artisans for the shop and have made some wonderful friends along the way.
Ina is 85. She has been hooking for many years and also makes penny rugs. Louise is a felter that constantly impresses me with her work. Benches, hassock, pictures are a few. Pam loves to paint; her folk art mostly painted on wood has that early American feel.
Terry, Margaret and myself make most of the quilts and related items.
In June 2006 I started carrying quality fabric in the shop, to stay with the theme of the house, they consist of country, primitive and civil war prints. I also carry books, patterns, etc.
